A screen won’t teach you how compromised, post-surgical skin reacts—or how to work gently with scar tissue and a body that’s already been through chemo, radiation, infections, and sometimes multiple operations. You don’t need a medical license to do areola tattooing. This work falls under tattooing and is open to artists, aestheticians, nurses, and anyone serious about helping survivors through art. Tattoo licensing depends on your state—many, like Arizona, don’t require one. Always check your local laws and use our free guide to help you research. However, to participate in this training, you need to be experienced (this training is not open to beginners).

Training starts with our online, self-paced drawing course, then you’ll come to Gilbert Arizona for three days of hands-on work in my studio. You’ll get real mentorship and time on real skin. We don’t include travel or lodging, but we share a resource guide to make planning easy and a catered lunch will be provided for all 3 training days.

Every in-person training is capped at two students—the smallest, most private areola training in the industry.

You’ll get the same areola inks and tattoo pen I use, plus a full training kit, pre-session and aftercare supplies, and a detailed manual. Just bring an open mind and scrubs for clinical day.

The online drawing course comes with six months of replay access and recordings for live sessions. For the in-person training, missing a day means forfeiting your full training—we hold space, block my calendar, and secure real models just for you.

Yes. You’ll work with a breast cancer survivor beside me. This is vital to real confidence and sets this training apart. It’s also why we require you to be fluent in tattooing prior to taking this training.
