Which to choose?
I consult with clients every week who have either done a few sessions of microneedling or fraxel laser on their stretch marks, or who are debating whether or not the stretch mark camouflage tattoo would be a better solution? Since it’s one of the most popular topics of conversation in my consultations, I decided to do a quick video addressing the differences between microneedling, laser and the stretch mark camouflage tattoo.
Long story short, microneedling and lasers are great options to smooth out the texture of your stretch marks, but it’s not a fit for everyone. Not everyone’s stretch marks are deep or rugged, some may have pretty shallow, flat and smooth scars, which wouldn’t benefit from doing any microneedling or laser sessions (save your money!). I can’t tell you how many clients have wasted $3k-$5k on laser sessions and wish they had just done the camouflage tattoo first, because they saw ZERO improvement. Remember, the stretch mark camouflage tattoo helps take away the white contrast of your stretch marks that make them noticeable.
If you’re not sure whether or not your stretch marks would benefit from lasers or microneedling, we can always discuss this during our virtual consultation. I promise to be a 100% honest with you if I believe you’ll benefit from a few laser or microneedling sessions first, before adding ink. Whatever is going to achieve the most natural-looking results for both you and I is what I strive to create as a Camouflage Tattoo Artist.
Enjoy and please let me know what else I can help you with in your research.
